Our state motto is “We dare defend our rights”, but whose rights the state is defending and at what cost needs a serious reevaluation.
Who pays for the damages this law is causing to our beautiful state?
I’ll tell you who has to pay for all of the damages befalling our state!
Alabamians who for the most part have been misinformed about an immigration law that the state does not even need!
When first drafted HB-56 was referred to as the Citizens and Taxpayers Protection Act.
Sounds very misleading when you take into account all of the farmers who have lost there livelihood, families that have had to leave a state they call there home, and the embarrassment this law has caused to two of the states most important corporations.
It baffles me how other states analyzed and refused to pass similar laws due to the fact that they realized that they would not be able to afford it such as Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Yet Alabama politicians seemed to have had there heads in the sand when it came to making very informed and well thought out decisions.
